Why I Became A Realtor in Las Vegas...

After working 70 hours a week for a local communications company running their data call center, I decided it was time to try another career. The long hours and time away from my family were starting to take a toll on me. I knew if I didn’t take the opportunity at age 45 to make a change now I would be stuck doing the same job the rest of my life.

Since I have always enjoyed helping people, I decided to become a Realtor. I attended the realtor school at Coldwell Banker and passed my state test on the first try. Taking the advice of one of my instructors I interviewed with various well known real estate companies and decided to start my career at Century 21 MoneyWorld on Lake Mead in the northwest part of town. The main reason I chose this company was they gave every new agent a 6 week training program. The knowledge I gained with this training has helped me throughout my real estate career.

Although you can learn a lot of the rules & regulations in a classroom, it does not compare with the knowledge you receive meeting people and writing contracts. Common sense plays a big part in the real estate business.

I’ve had the privilege now to work with three of the biggest real estate companies in the business Century 21, Coldwell Banker Premier & Realty ONE Group. I had an opportunity to pick the brains of some of the most experienced agents in the business and to learn from all of them. It has made me a better Realtor and smarter business person. This coupled with my customer service knowledge helps me understand and work with people. This is why I enjoy working with both buyers and sellers.

I attend the State required 24 hours of classes every 2 years, and I take various real estate related classes throughout the year. These classes consist of contract, ethics, law and agency classwork. One thing about the real estate business is you can take a class every day of the year if you want to expand your knowledge.

As I said earlier, I enjoy working with people. I’ve learned that clients want to feel you understand and care about them. They want to be listened to and taken seriously. They want to feel comfortable with you. It’s awkward meeting someone for the first time, and I try to make this process easy for my clients. It’s my goal to treat you as well as I would a family member and to have you be a client for life.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 702-809-6300. Thanks for your time and I look forward to meeting you in the future.
